Small changes often have the biggest impact. Here are some of my favorite design principles and lighting tricks to help you make your home feel more balanced, cozy, and functional.

The right lighting temperature sets the perfect mood. This guide shows my recommendations: warm light (3000K) for cozy bedrooms, neutral light (3500K) for living rooms, and cool light (4000K-6000K) for task-oriented spaces like kitchens and bathrooms.

Arches can be used to beautifully frame a space. In this example, rustic wooden shelves are set within a niche, using the wall itself as a frame to add timeless charm and character to the interior.

Arches can be scaled to fit any room. Whether you want a grand, dramatic entryway or a series of petite nooks for displaying decor, I balance the size of the arch with the room's proportions for a harmonious look.

A home office wall should inspire productivity. I design these spaces with functional elements like a pinboard for ideas and open shelves for books and plants, creating a personalized and motivating workspace.

A gallery wall is a fantastic way to personalize a home office. I arrange motivational quotes and art in various frame sizes to create a visually engaging backdrop that boosts creativity and keeps the workspace free of clutter.

About Design & Lighting Tips

Choosing the right light temperature is the easiest way to change a room's mood. I always suggest using warm 3000K lights in bedrooms to create a relaxing space, but switching to cooler 6000K lighting in your kitchen or bathroom ensures you have the clear, shadow-free visibility you need for daily tasks.
