Finding the Story in the Details

Wedding photography is often dominated by grand group shots and stage performances, but I believe the true character of a celebration lies in the small things. This gallery features my approach to creative portraiture and detail-oriented photography.

My Artistic Approach

• Engagement & Ring Shots: An engagement ring is more than jewelry. I use macro techniques and soft, directional light to capture the texture of the band and the clarity of the stone, often framing them against natural elements to tell a deeper story.
• Silhouettes & Shadows: I love working with high contrast. By using the setting sun or artificial ambient light, I create silhouettes that focus on the emotional connection and body language of a couple rather than just their faces.
• Double Exposure: This is a technique I use to layer memories. It allows me to combine an action shot with a portrait, creating an artistic, dreamy final image that captures two different moods in a single frame.

The Process

I treat every detail shot as a portrait. Whether it is a groom’s traditional shoes in the grass or a bride’s jewelry, I scout the location to find the right background that won't distract from the subject. My goal is to capture images that look less like a catalog and more like a film still.
