About Additional Work & Details

You don't need a sprawling studio or a massive venue to get these kinds of portraits. Many of the creative shots you see here were crafted in small hotel rooms or quiet corners using just a portable light and a mirror. If you like this look, we can plan for a brief session during your event without taking you away from your guests for hours.

I view photography as a form of storytelling where the camera does the heavy lifting. While traditional stage photography has its place, this cluster highlights my preference for fine art techniques—playing with double exposures, motion blur, and controlled lighting to create something that feels less like a snapshot and more like a piece of art.

My Approach to Detail

Whether it is the texture of a Nauvari saree, the brass vessels at a traditional ritual, or the way light hits a mirror, I look for the small things. These details are often what hold the memory of the day together. By incorporating moody, cinematic lighting—like the green and blue tones I frequently use—I aim to capture a 'shanti' (peaceful) quality, even in the middle of a loud, vibrant celebration. Like the saying, 'Gangechya pavitra paanyat, man shanti' (in the holy waters of the Ganga, there is peace of mind), I search for that same stillness in my frames.

Technical Flexibility

I rely on full-frame Canon Mirrorless systems paired with Sigma Art lenses. For these specific portraits, I often use Nanlite tubes and off-camera flashes to sculpt the light. This means I can create drama and depth in challenging environments, from dimly lit ceremony halls to tight event spaces in Mumbai. I am comfortable working solo or collaborating with larger teams, bringing this same artistic eye to every project I take on.

I treat every wedding like a story, not just a series of events. My focus is on finding those quiet, peaceful moments—that feeling of 'shanti'—even when things get chaotic. I love using light and shadow to create something a bit different.
