Newborn Portraits (6-30 Days) in Gurugram
Those first few weeks are a blur of feedings and sleepless nights. I focus on creating a quiet, safe, and temperature-controlled environment where your newborn can sleep soundly while I capture every delicate, tiny detail.
A quiet, tender moment between newborn twins. I use a simple, soft white blanket to create a cloud-like bed, ensuring the focus remains on their peaceful sleep and connection.
Two sleeping beauties. For this newborn twin portrait, I added delicate floral headbands and tiny stuffed animals to create a sweet, dreamy scene.
A tiny, sleepy smile from a newborn baby boy. Dressed in soft blue knits and cuddling a teddy bear, this image captures the pure innocence of a new life.
A dreamy newborn portrait. This baby is sleeping peacefully in a tiny bed, dressed in a fluffy bunny bonnet, creating a whimsical and adorable scene.
This close-up of a sleeping newborn shows off her delicate features. The simple white wrap and tiny yellow flower crown add just a touch of color and softness.
A beautiful, minimalist newborn portrait. The baby is wrapped snugly in a textured white fabric, creating a look that is both artistic and timeless.
This little one is nestled in a cozy basket lined with soft wool. The light purple bonnet adds a gentle pop of color to this peaceful newborn portrait.
About this collection
The window for these classic, curled-up poses is narrow, ideally between 6 and 20 days old, when babies are still comfortable in the fetal position and sleep deeply. My Gurugram studio is kept at a specific temperature with white noise and sanitized wraps to ensure your little one remains undisturbed and comfortable throughout the 3-to-4-hour session.
Newborn photography requires patience above all else. Because I handle all the swaddling and posing personally, I dedicate a full 3 to 4 hours to each session. This allows for frequent breaks for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes, ensuring the baby is never rushed or stressed.
The Process
My studio at M3M Golf Estate is designed with safety as the priority. I use soft, mohair wraps, floral bonnets, and knitted rompers that are gentle on sensitive skin. Before every shoot, the environment is sanitized, and I maintain a consistent room temperature to keep the baby cozy. We capture a mix of 'beanbag' poses, bucket setups, and classic swaddled shots.
Why 6-30 Days?
While I photograph newborns up to 30 days old, the first three weeks are ideal. At this stage, babies are more likely to stay in the deep, undisturbed sleep necessary for the posed 'fine art' shots you see in this gallery. If your baby is slightly older, we focus more on awake shots or 'sitter' poses, which offer a different, but equally beautiful, look at their growing personality.
My Approach
I am not just taking photos; I am handling your most precious cargo. I stay down on the floor, adjusting fabrics and soothing the baby myself, so you can sit back, relax, and watch the process. My goal is to ensure that the images reflect the peace and newness of these first few weeks.

I’m Ila. After nine years of capturing these tiny, fleeting moments, I’ve decided to take a step back from photography to focus on my family. While I am not currently taking new bookings, this gallery represents the years I spent perfecting the art of the newborn pose, ensuring every family walked away with a piece of their history preserved.
