Our Recycling Mission: Diverting Dry Waste from Gurgaon's Landfills
We believe waste isn't trash until we waste it. From plastic and electronics to old clothes, join our mission to divert dry waste from Gurgaon's landfills and give it a second life.
We've partnered with Respun to give your clothes a second life. Drop them off at our permanent recycling bins to save water, reduce CO2, and help upskill rural women in Haryana.
On World Environment Day, we thank Gurgaon for helping us stop over 361,000 kg of dry waste from choking the planet. Drop off your waste at our collection units and be part of the solution.
A collage from Mercer's massive clean-up drive, where 65 people, including children, removed 580 kg of waste from the Aravali Forest in just two hours.
More scenes from the Mercer clean-up, with parents and their young children working together to clear trash, raising a generation that refuses to create it.
Our supervisor Ankit explains our simple and effective leaf composting process. We turn fallen leaves and twigs into rich compost that nourishes our native plants, cutting landfill waste and methane emissions.
43 kilos of dry waste cleared by 50 Mercer employees at Sikanderpur Pahari. When we do the work ourselves, we realize the effort it takes and the importance of not littering.
374.5 kg of dry waste, enough to fill a small car, was removed from the Aravali Forest in just 40 minutes by 50 Mercer employees. This is a wake-up call.
About this collection
If you are tired of seeing recyclables ending up in landfills, our Samadhaan Hubs are the place to go. We take everything from electronics and glass to old clothes, but please ensure your waste is clean, dry, and segregated before you drop it off. It makes our recycling partners' work much faster and helps us maintain our quality checks.
Our Recycling Approach
We don't just collect waste; we ensure it has a proper destination. By the time waste reaches our Samadhaan Hubs or collection units, it has already been sorted. This is why we are strict about the quality of what is deposited. We route plastics, paper, metals, and e-waste to authorized recyclers who can actually handle them, preventing these materials from leaking back into our forests or city drains.
How to Participate
We run daily collection services because we know convenience is key to habit formation. Whether you are an individual household looking to responsibly dispose of festive waste or a community group wanting to set up a collection drive, we are here to facilitate that.
- Segregation Matters: Wet waste (kitchen scraps) should never be mixed with dry waste. Please ensure all plastics, glass, and metals are rinsed and dried.
- What We Accept: Paper, cardboard, glass, metal, hard and soft plastics, e-waste (chargers, wires, gadgets), and old, usable clothes.
- The Exchange: We believe in small rewards for good habits. Bring 10 kg of verified dry waste to any of our centers, and we will give you a reusable cloth bag in return.
Where to Find Us
Our primary collection points include the Samadhaan Hub in Sector 26A, the Badshahpur Forest Corridor, and Creek 56. We operate these units from 8 AM to 5 PM, seven days a week. We encourage residents from across Gurgaon to travel to these hubs for responsible disposal, especially for difficult-to-recycle items like e-waste or old festival decorations.
Iamgurgaon
We started as a group of regular folks tired of seeing our local hills covered in garbage. Now, we are a community-led movement working with schools, companies, and residents to clean up, compost, and recycle, proving that Gurgaon can be green if we all just pitch in.
