About Cosmetics & Fragrances
Shooting glass products like perfume bottles is all about managing reflections. I use a Digitek 65cm Octa Softbox to get soft, diffused lighting that highlights the texture of the bottle and the clarity of the label. It is a precise process of light placement to ensure the product pops without any distracting glare.
Cosmetics and fragrance photography is one of my favorite technical challenges. You are not just photographing a bottle, you are capturing a scent or a vibe that customers cannot experience through their phone screens. To bridge that gap, I build custom setups using props, textured backgrounds, and specific lighting schemes that match your brand identity.
Whether it is a moody, dramatic palette for a masculine fragrance or bright, airy lighting for a new skincare line, the goal is to make the image stop the scroll. I manage the entire process, from conceptualizing the background to post-production color correction for web optimization. My current kit includes professional softboxes and light modifiers that allow me to control shadows and highlights, making sure the product, not the reflection, stays the focus.
