About Life on the Trail
Expect zero network and simple living. We provide sturdy alpine tents and sleeping bags rated for freezing temperatures, but keep in mind that our meals are vegetarian mountain staples. If you have specific dietary needs or require extra fuel, please carry your own supply of energy bars or dry fruits. This is a raw experience, not a resort stay.
Trekking in the Himalayas is a test of patience as much as it is a test of physical endurance. When you join us on the trail, you are stepping away from the 9 to 5 and into a rhythm dictated by the mountains. Our groups are built on shared effort. Whether it is pitching tents at a high-altitude campsite or waiting out a sudden spell of rain at a teahouse, the camaraderie you build with fellow trekkers often becomes the highlight of the trip.
We prioritize functionality over frills. You will be sleeping in dome tents, often on uneven terrain, using dry pit toilets that we set up for every batch. These might not sound like luxuries, but that is the point. When you wake up, unzip your tent, and see the sunrise hit a snow-capped peak, you realize why the grind is worth it.
We emphasize safety and support. Every expedition is led by a certified trek leader who carries essential gear like oxygen cylinders and oximeters for high-altitude climbs. Our support crew handles the heavy lifting, but we encourage participants to carry their own backpacks to stay light and nimble. If you need a mule for offloading your gear, let us know in advance. From the hot maggi breaks at local shacks to the structured safety protocols we follow on technical passes, everything we do is designed to get you from the base camp to the summit and back safely.
HimTrek
We are HimTrek. For us, the magic is not just at the peak—it is in the campfire stories at Bakarthach and the early morning chai. We do not do luxury, we do raw, real mountain experiences.
