About Himalayan Road Trips
What’s the Scene?
I organize road trips in the Himalayas that really let you leave your city stress behind. If you’re craving a break from endless notifications, this is your sign. The vibe? It’s asli (real) - cold winds, no network, and plans that change with the mood. You’ll catch bonfires, stargazing, and those random chats that turn strangers into friends. Honestly, the views hit different - you forget about the rest of the world.
Spiti Valley Specials
Spiti is where I’m most at home. Whether it’s the summer or winter circuit, each trip drops you into another world.
- Summer Spiti: The classic 9-day journey starting from Shimla. You’ll chill in Kaza’s cafes, wander ancient monasteries like Tabo and Key, and camp by the dreamy blue Chandratal Lake.
- Winter Spiti: Full expedition feels. The valley’s covered in white, and every stop is a story. You’ll cross Chicham bridge (highest in the world), post a letter from Hikkim, and see the mummy in Gue Monastery. It’s not for comfort seekers - more for those who want a winter expedition in Himalayas.
Who’s Coming Along?
If you’ve got thoda sa junoon (a bit of madness) and a love for adventure, you’ll fit right in. Solo travelers love it here - safe, raw, and easy to make friends.
How We Travel
Usually, we roll out in a Tempo Traveller. It’s all about sharing music, stories, and sometimes even a roof ride. Stays are cozy homestays or camping by Chandratal Lake. Wi-Fi is weak, but the stories are strong. Apna trip captain (your own trip captain) keeps it all sorted - from chai stops to group road trip Himalayas logistics.
If you want a no-network travel experience and a proper jannat ka safar (heavenly journey), just pack your bag. The mountains do the rest.
