Intricate Mehendi Art & Organic Henna Cones
See the detail in every line and the homemade organic henna cones that make it possible. From precise 3D florals to that deep maroon stain, this is my signature style.
A close-up of a 3D floral element. I create this effect by carefully layering the henna paste, which adds texture and depth to the design.
Another view of a raised, 3D floral detail. This technique requires a steady hand and a perfectly mixed paste, which is what I provide in my cones.
A single-arm design showing a mix of techniques, including geometric wristbands, fine-line netting, and bold floral work on the back of the hand.
Here is a full-arm design shown next to one of my handmade cones. You can see how the fine tip of the cone allows for such detailed and intricate work.
Here you can see one of my intricate wrist and hand designs next to the very cone I used to create it. My cones have a fine tip for precision, allowing for detailed work like the florals and geometric patterns shown here.
These are my fresh, homemade organic henna cones, ready to be shipped. I make them myself in small batches to ensure you get the best possible paste for a dark, long-lasting stain.
Mehendi isn't just for hands. I love creating beautiful designs for feet, like this floral pattern that complements any bridal look. Notice the deep, even stain my organic henna achieves on the feet and toes.
This is the stain goal. A close-up of a deep, mature maroon henna stain on a bride, complete with her beautiful rings. My organic paste guarantees this rich color, which is perfect for wedding photography.
About A Closer Look: Artistry & The Cones
You have seen the photos, but the real secret to that rich maroon color is the paste itself. I hand-roll these organic cones in small batches without any chemicals, ensuring a smooth, consistent flow for fine detailing and a stain that deepens over 36 hours.
After ten years of working with brides in Bangalore, I stopped relying on store-bought cones because I could never guarantee the stain quality. Now, I make every batch in my own kitchen using 100% organic Sojat henna powder, eucalyptus or clove oil, sugar, and distilled water.
Why I make my own henna
When you use natural henna, the stain doesn't start off dark. It matures over 36 to 48 hours. If you are used to 'instant' red henna that fades quickly, this will be different. My cones produce a deep, mahogany-maroon color that stays vibrant for days. Because I don't use PPD or chemicals, it is safe for sensitive skin.
For the artist and the enthusiast
I design my cones to be non-clogging. Whether you are creating intricate mesh (jaali) work, bold 3D florals, or geometric wristbands, the 0.38mm tip gives you the control you need. I offer these in two ways:
- Hand-Rolled Organic Cones (Pack of 6): Great for personal use or small gatherings. Contains ~170g of paste.
- Bulk Artist Pack (Pack of 12): Designed for professional application with a 360g supply and included aftercare oil to help lock in the color.
Since these are fresh, chemical-free products, they have a shelf life of 4-5 days at room temperature. If you aren't using them immediately, just pop them in the freezer, and they stay good for up to 6 months. I mix every batch to order, so please plan for a 24-hour lead time for the dye to release properly.
Shaista
Hi, I’m Shaista. After a decade of creating bridal mehendi, I realized the only way to get a consistent, dark stain was to make the paste myself. Now, I use these same handmade organic cones for all my clients, whether I am doing a full bridal setup or you are buying a pack to try at home.
