Solo Stage Performances
A solo recital is an intimate conversation between the artist, the art, and the audience. This collection showcases my solo performances at various prestigious venues, from the India Habitat Centre to the Delhi Nritya Mahotsav. Each performance is a complete journey, blending pure dance with expressive storytelling.
Devotional Narratives: Krishna & Ram Bhakti
For me, Kathak is a form of prayer. "Katha kahe so Kathak kahave" means "one who tells a story is a Kathak artist." This cluster is dedicated to my 'Abhinaya' performances, where I bring to life the divine stories of Krishna Leela, Ram Bhakti, and the playful festival of Holi.
Rhythm & Technique: The Nritta Showcase
'Nritta' is the pure dance aspect of Kathak, a celebration of rhythm, speed, and precision. This section showcases various technical compositions like 'Toda', 'Paran', 'Thaat', and 'Uthaan', performed in different 'Taals' (rhythmic cycles) such as the 16-beat Teentaal and the 14-beat Dhamar Taal.
Collaborative Productions: Duets & Group Choreography
Kathak comes alive in new ways when performed with others. This cluster showcases my work in duet and group productions, where synchronization, chemistry, and collective energy create a powerful visual spectacle. From the 'Sangam' duet to large ensemble pieces with Kalashram, these are some of my favourite collaborations.
Accolades & Milestones
I am deeply grateful for the journey my art has taken me on. This section is a humble showcase of some of the milestones I cherish, including being recognized as a Doordarshan Graded Artist, receiving the Rashtriya Achiever Award, and performing on prestigious platforms like TEDx and for the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
The Guru's Legacy
My dance is not my own; it is a reflection of the knowledge and blessings bestowed upon me by my gurus, the legendary Pt. Birju Maharaj ji and the venerable Saswati Sen ji. This cluster is a tribute to the sacred 'Guru-Shishya Parampara' (teacher-disciple tradition) that is the very foundation of my identity as an artist.
