Functional Kitchen & Pantry Designs
Kitchens that handle daily drama while looking good. We blend smart storage with layouts that actually work for your cooking style.
This modern kitchen design for an office pantry combines bold blue cabinets with a playful terrazzo backsplash and floor inlay. The open shelving and industrial-style grid ceiling add a contemporary, stylish touch.
Another view of the office kitchen, showing the breakfast bar with comfortable stools. It's designed to be a welcoming space for employees to take a break, grab a coffee, and socialize.
An open-plan kitchen and dining area from our Bhagalpur project. The design features sage green and grey cabinets, a patterned tile backsplash, and a functional island that doubles as a dining table.
About this collection
Most kitchens look good in photos but fail on Monday morning. We focus on the 'Golden Triangle'—fridge, sink, and stove placement—and use BWR grade plywood so your cabinets do not swell when the monsoon hits. Whether it is an office pantry or a busy home kitchen, we design for how you actually move while you cook.
Why kitchen design is more than just aesthetics
A kitchen is not just about glossy laminates. It is about surviving the daily grind of cooking, cleaning, and storage. At FMDL, we start with your workflow—how you grab spices, where you wash vegetables, and how much counter space you actually need.
Our practical approach
We do not sell 'Instagram kitchens' that break in six months. We build systems that last:
- Built for longevity: We use BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) grade plywood because we know water and Indian cooking do not mix well.
- Hardware that moves: We specify soft-close hardware like Hettich or Hafele because the last thing you need is a cabinet door slamming shut when you are rushing.
- Smart storage: From tall units for groceries to corner pull-outs that save your back, we make sure every square inch is usable.
Handling the site drama
We know site work is messy. When we take on a kitchen project, we handle the boring but critical stuff: checking electrical points for heavy appliances, ensuring drainage lines are slope-accurate, and coordinating with the stone vendor for that seamless countertop fit. If something goes wrong—and in construction, it sometimes does—we fix it. You will not be left chasing subcontractors for a dripping sink or a misaligned shutter.
FMDL Architects
We are Amrita and Akshay. We treat kitchens like the engine room of a house—if it does not work, the whole place feels off. We will not just give you pretty shutters; we will make sure the storage, plumbing, and electrical points are exactly where you need them.
