I don't give stiff instructions like 'tilt your chin' or 'look here.' Instead, I create space for you to just be—whether it's a quiet walk in a church aisle or a candid hug on a Goa beach. My job is to fade into the background so we catch the comfort you actually feel with each other.
My approach to intimate portraits is simple: the less I interfere, the better the photos. I’ve realized that the most powerful images come when you forget I’m even there.
I often use a 50mm 1.4 lens for these shoots. It gives me that soft, creamy background blur and allows me to stay further away from you. This distance helps you relax, talk to each other, and share those quiet moments without feeling like there is a camera shoved in your face. It is the difference between a staged portrait and a piece of your real story.
