Surgical Technology and Patient Aftercare Guide
Getting the best results after surgery isn't just about the procedure. It is a mix of using the right technology and knowing exactly how to care for yourself at home. Here is how we combine advanced tools like CO2 lasers with practical guidance to help you heal.
In this video, I introduce our CO2 fractional laser system. I explain its different modes, including the fractional mode for scars, the surgical mode for removing moles and skin tags, and other settings for procedures like laser facelifts. This technology allows for precise and effective treatments.
Your role in healing is very important. I always educate my patients on post surgery scar care. This video covers the essential steps of using specific creams, proper massage techniques, and diligent sun protection to ensure your scar heals as faintly as possible.
About Our Technology & Patient Education
You might think a CO2 laser is just for one thing, but we use it across multiple modes: fractional settings for scar reduction, surgical modes for mole or skin tag removal, and even advanced modes for laser facelifts. When you come in for a consultation, I will show you exactly which mode your skin needs. Remember that the machine is only half the battle. Your recovery success depends heavily on the daily routine you follow at home, including consistent sun protection and the specific massage techniques I teach you after the procedure.
Understanding Our Surgical Technology
Modern plastic surgery is as much about the tools as it is about the surgeon's hand. Our CO2 fractional laser is a workhorse in our clinic. I do not just use one setting; we adjust it based on what you need.
- Fractional Mode: This is my go-to for smoothing out uneven skin texture and working on old scars. It creates controlled micro-injuries that force your skin to regenerate from within.
- Surgical Mode: For precise removal of growths like moles, cysts, or skin tags, this mode offers a clean excision with minimal bleeding.
- Laser Facelift: We use specialized settings to tighten skin and improve elasticity without invasive incisions.
Why Your Role Matters Most
I tell all my patients that surgery is only 50 percent of the journey. The other 50 percent happens at your home in Noida or Delhi NCR. If you skip your post-op care, even the best surgical work will struggle to look natural.
- The Sun is the Enemy: After any scar or laser work, UV rays can darken your skin and turn a fading scar into a permanent mark. You must use sun protection religiously.
- Massage is Key: I personally demonstrate the massage strokes you need to do. This breaks up deep tissue fibrosis and keeps the skin supple as it heals.
- Creams vs. Magic: There is no cream that makes a scar disappear. We use silicon-based gels and creams to hydrate the area and provide the perfect environment for healing, not for magic.
