Cyst, Keloid & Growth Removal
Safe, precise surgical removal for cysts, lipomas, and keloids with a focus on minimal scarring and quick recovery.
This video shows the before and after of an earlobe keloid removal. It's a quick, in-office procedure. The result after one month shows that the earlobe contour is restored with a scar that is almost invisible.
This is a delicate procedure for removing a cyst on the eyelid margin using a laser. The laser allows for precise removal with minimal bleeding and damage to surrounding tissue, which is essential in such a sensitive area.
This video shows the process of removing a cyst from the temple area. I mark the excision lines to follow natural skin creases, which helps hide the scar. The cyst is removed completely, and the incision is closed with fine stitches for optimal healing.
This patient had multiple lipomas, which are benign fatty growths, on their hand. This video shows the surgical excision of these growths. The procedure is aimed at complete removal while preserving hand function and minimizing scarring.
About Cyst, Keloid & Growth Removal
Most of the growths I handle, like cysts and lipomas, are treated as simple daycare procedures right here in the clinic. You won't need to stay overnight. We use local anesthesia to ensure you are comfortable, and the focus is always on making sure the incision follows your natural skin creases so the scar is as minimal as possible.
My Surgical Approach
Whether it is an eyelid cyst, a painful keloid on the earlobe, or a bothersome lipoma on the hand, the goal is consistent: safe removal with the best aesthetic outcome. For cysts and lipomas, I perform a complete excision. This means removing not just the growth, but the entire sac or lobule to prevent it from coming back. If it is a keloid, I use intralesional techniques to reduce the size and flatten it.
I understand the anxiety around scarring. That is why I use ultra-fine sutures and careful planning to align incisions with your skin’s natural tension lines. For eyelid cysts, I often use laser technology for high precision. This minimizes bleeding and significantly reduces the impact on the surrounding delicate tissue.
The Reality of Healing
I always tell my patients: do not expect a 'scarless' result. A surgical cut is a cut. My job is to ensure the final mark is subtle and fades well over time.
Post-procedure, you can expect:
- Daycare convenience: No hospital admission required.
- Suture removal: Typically within 7-10 days depending on the location.
- Follow-up: I personally oversee the healing to ensure there are no infections and the scar matures correctly.
If you are noticing a growth that is changing in size, color, or causing discomfort, it is better to get it assessed sooner rather than later.
