Unique Interior Design Projects and Home Inspirations
A look at some of our favorite custom projects, where we balanced function with a bit of personality—from private sanctuaries to focused workspaces.
A home office should be both practical and calm. For this duplex in Lower Parel, we designed a functional workspace with a custom dark wood desk, arched sliding doors, and a built-in bookshelf that pulls the entire room together.
This home office in a South Mumbai residence makes a bold statement with a deep teal bookshelf and rich, quilted burgundy leather chairs. The plaid wallpaper adds a classic, masculine touch to the space.
This bedroom in a Mumbai home features a modern, minimalist aesthetic. A simple terracotta-colored desk is paired with an elegant arched pendant light, creating a clean and inspiring workspace within the room.
About this collection
When I design a home office or a dedicated reading nook, I don't just pick a desk and chair. I look at how you naturally move and where you lose focus. For a Lower Parel duplex, that meant custom arched sliding doors to keep the workspace calm without closing it off completely. These aren't just aesthetic choices; they are functional decisions made to help you actually get work done.
Designing a personal space is about removing friction. Whether it is a home office in South Mumbai or a private gym, I start with how the room needs to function before we even talk about colors or materials.
Why Custom Matters
Off-the-shelf furniture rarely fits the specific needs of a home. We build pieces—like our custom dark wood desks or arched bookshelves—that are measured to your height, your reach, and the specific footprint of the room. It ensures your workspace is an asset, not a clutter trap.
Our Approach to Personal Spaces
- Zoning: Even in smaller bedrooms, we create distinct zones. A reading corner, a workstation, and a sleeping area should feel separate, even if they share one room.
- Materials that Age Well: We prioritize stone, solid wood, and high-grade metal because they hold up better than synthetic alternatives.
- Function First: If you are a creative, you need surface area and natural light. If you are a lawyer or corporate professional, you need acoustic control and privacy. We map this out during our initial briefing.
It is not about following a design trend; it is about making sure your home works for the life you are actually living.
