I help residential communities, NGOs, and corporations turn food scraps into black gold. Whether you are managing waste for fifty homes or five hundred, I provide the systems and training to make it odour-free and simple.

I am happy to be associated with OKAPI and ROKA for this wonderful lane composting initiative in Chennai. Using my Eira and Eartha community composters, they are processing nearly a tonne of kitchen waste, proving that decentralized waste management is highly effective.

My Eira lane composters were recently installed at Shyam Abhinandan Apartment in Bengaluru, supported by Circular Waste Solutions. These two 1200-litre units will serve 53 households, processing 30 kg of kitchen waste daily and turning it into valuable compost.

My experiment at Akshayakalpa to process dairy rejects using Eartha composters was a great success. Even tough-to-break-down materials like paneer were fully composted, with temperatures reaching 65.5 degrees Celsius, effectively killing any pathogens.

Here I am at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Energy and Development, training the staff on our Eartha composter. This installation is part of a CSR initiative by the NGO Saahas to promote sustainable waste management.

Our Eira Community Composter has now reached Hyderabad. I am very happy to be associated with another environmentally responsible community that is taking proactive steps to manage its waste sustainably.

My Eartha and Eira community composters arriving in Chennai for a lane composting initiative by ROKA. It is inspiring to see resident groups take charge of their waste and create local solutions.

It is wonderful to see organizations like Hasiru Dala choosing my Eartha composters for their lane composting projects. These units will now turn kitchen waste from surrounding homes into compost, reducing the burden on our city's landfills.

This is a large-scale community composting success story. About 1.7 tonnes of rich, nice-smelling compost was picked up from Purva Venezia, where they use my Eartha composters and Excelerator culture. This biomass is now back in the soil where it belongs.

A customer from our Chennai community project shared this amazing update. The pile temperature in their Eira composter reached 70 degrees Celsius without any electricity. This is called 'thermal killing', a natural process where heat destroys pathogens.

This is the final product from our experiment at Akshayakalpa. The dairy rejects were transformed into this rich, pleasant-smelling compost, ready to nourish the soil. It is a perfect example of Extended Producer Responsibility in action.

About Community Composting in Action

Don't let the scale of community composting intimidate you, as it is essentially home composting, just multiplied. Whether you are handling 30kg or 300kg of waste daily, the secret to success remains identical: maintaining the correct carbon-nitrogen balance and ensuring consistent aeration. My role is to help you set up the infrastructure, like our Eartha and Eira systems, and train your staff so the process stays aerobic and odour-free from day one.

Community composting is not just about installing a bin, it is about shifting culture. My approach, perfected through projects like the ROKA initiative in Chennai and the Shyam Abhinandan Apartment installation in Bengaluru, focuses on decentralised waste management. We don't just supply robust, rodent-proof Eartha or Eira composters, we ensure they actually work.

Science is the backbone of what I do. For instance, when we tackled dairy rejects at Akshayakalpa, we monitored temperatures reaching 65.5 degrees Celsius. This 'thermal killing' is how we eliminate pathogens without electricity, a concept I explain in detail during my staff training sessions.

Why my systems work for you:

  • Aerobic Engineering: My Eartha composters use internal baffles and double-shell designs to maintain high temperatures, which accelerates the breakdown of everything from kitchen scraps to dairy rejects.
  • Support & Training: I don't believe in set-and-forget. I train your housekeeping staff on 'kasa vingadane' (waste segregation), ensuring that only the right material enters the system.
  • Scalability: From the Eira units serving 50 households in Yelachenahalli to large-scale setups, these units are designed to withstand Indian weather and heavy usage.

Composting at this scale is the ultimate form of Extended Producer Responsibility. When you treat your own waste, you aren't just saving landfill space. You are creating a circular loop that nourishes the very soil that feeds your community. If you have a group of residents or an organization ready to take this step, I am here to help you get the mix right.
