Forget the rulebook. I style traditional wear for the real world—think vintage kurta mix-ups, Barbie-core lehengas, and outfits that actually let you move.

I never wear Indian clothes the way they're "supposed" to be. This video is my manifesto on personalizing traditional wear, styling my mom's old kurta with black pants for an engagement party. It’s about expressing yourself, not just following the dress code.

This video for Dressfolk showcases their beautiful, lightweight summer sarees. I styled three different sarees to show their versatility, from a modern drape with a bralette to a more traditional look, all perfect for the festive season.

Here I'm showcasing three unique, hand-painted Kota dupattas from Maati Crafts. I demonstrate different ways to drape them, turning a simple white outfit into three distinct festive looks and highlighting the beauty of Indian artisan work.

A baddie needs to stay cool for the summer, even in Indian wear. This UGC video for Pink Fort shows off three of their breathable kurta sets, highlighting practical features like pockets while showing how stylish and comfortable they are for daily wear.

For Diwali, I collaborated with Maati Crafts to create this vibrant lookbook. It shows how their festive collection can be styled for the festival of lights, bringing a modern and colorful energy to traditional wear.

Channeling my inner goddess with nine colors for Navratri. This collaboration with Maati Crafts features nine different looks, one for each day of the festival, showcasing the versatility and vibrancy of their fusion wear.

Anything with a bow has my heart. In this video for Label Raasleela, I show how to tie their versatile festive dress in two different ways. It's a perfect piece for Diwali parties or brunch, and it has pockets!

Channeling my inner Poo from K3G. This is a fun lip-sync video where I'm dressed in a stunning black lehenga, perfect for a sangeet or wedding reception. It shows my playful side while modeling a glamorous festive look.

This is my "dulhan ki behen" (sister of the bride) look for a Haldi ceremony. The vibrant yellow sharara set with a corset top is the perfect mix of traditional and trendy for a sunny, celebratory wedding event.

The dreamiest lehenga does exist. This transition video shows off a beautiful pastel pink and blue lehenga I had custom-made. It's the perfect inspiration for a bridesmaid or anyone looking for a modern, Barbie-core wedding outfit.

About Modern Indian & Festive Styling

You don't need a heavy trousseau to stand out at the next celebration. My approach is all about taking what you already have—maybe a vintage kurta from your mom’s closet—and pairing it with unexpected elements like structured pants or statement jewelry. I focus on making Indian wear functional and fun, which means choosing breathable fabrics for summer events and always looking for pockets, because utility shouldn't be optional.

Styling for the Real World, Not the Runway

Indian festive wear often gets stuck in a loop of heavy embroidery and uncomfortable fabrics. My goal is to break that cycle by styling fusion looks that are vibrant, comfortable, and uniquely yours. Whether it’s an engagement ceremony or a sister’s wedding, you can achieve a 'main character' look without sacrificing comfort.

My Approach to Modern Indian Fashion:

  • The Mix & Match Philosophy: I love pairing vintage pieces with modern silhouettes. You'll often see me styling an age-old kurta with tailored black pants for a chic, minimalist engagement look. It is about honoring the piece while keeping your aesthetic current.
  • Functionality Matters: If it doesn’t have pockets, I am probably not wearing it. I prioritize breathable fabrics like Kota for festive events so you can actually dance and mingle rather than just standing still in heavy layers.
  • Versatile Draping: From Barbie-core lehengas to 'dulhan ki behen' yellow sharara sets, I work on creating looks that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern trends. I teach you how to drape a dupatta in three different ways or how to pivot from a traditional look to a modern aesthetic using belts or corsets.

What You Get When We Work Together: We will take your existing wardrobe and identify 'hero pieces.' I’ll show you how to style them so they work for a Diwali party, a brunch, or a wedding function. Fashion is meant to be an outlet, not a rigid set of instructions. Let's make it personal.
