Family Workshops and Community Events
At Ekya Nava, we believe that education happens beyond the classroom. Join our campus in Panathur for weekend events that encourage parents and children to build, observe, and learn together.
Here is a sample monthly calendar of events at Ekya Nava. I regularly host a variety of workshops and gatherings, including sky gazing, building block challenges, and performing arts sessions for the community.
An invitation to one of our popular "Starry Night" family events. These evenings are a perfect opportunity for families to gather, learn about astronomy, and experience the night sky together.
About Special Events & Community Gatherings
These aren't typical weekend classes. When we open our campus for community events, we invite you into our Makery and design labs, turning weekends into collaborative sessions where you and your child can solve real-world problems. Whether it is astronomy sessions in the evening or hands-on engineering challenges, the focus remains on sparking genuine curiosity rather than simple entertainment.
Our community gatherings are designed to mirror the innovation-focused approach of our K-12 program. We treat every workshop—whether it involves building block challenges, performing arts, or astronomy nights—as an opportunity to cultivate a 'learner's mindset' for the whole family.
Why Join Our Community Events?
- Hands-on Learning: We move away from passive observation. Our sessions, like those led by TROY World for building or Genex Space for astronomy, require active participation, allowing children to manipulate materials and test theories in real-time.
- Collaborative Growth: We know that a child's environment shapes their consciousness. By attending these workshops, parents gain a front-row seat to their child's creative process, fostering deeper connections through shared achievement.
- The Maker Environment: You get access to our dedicated campus facilities in Panathur. This isn't a rental hall; it is a space designed for curiosity, featuring our Makery and art labs where kids can get messy, build prototypes, and explore concepts in science and design.
Types of Events We Host
- Starry Nights: Guided sessions where we use telescopes to observe the moon and planets, grounded in accurate scientific discussion rather than just sightseeing.
- Skill-Building Workshops: From engineering basics to performing arts, these sessions are structured to build specific competencies while keeping the atmosphere light and engaging.
- Open Houses: Opportunities for prospective families to see our 'learning-by-doing' philosophy in action, meet our mentors, and explore the campus landscape.
These events are our way of showing that the Ekya Nava approach works for everyone. We welcome families from across Bengaluru to step inside, try something new, and experience a different way of learning together.
