I do not rely on generic templates or stock sounds. When I layer a classical vocal or a sitar riff into a house track, I focus on harmonic matching and precise stem processing in Ableton. You end up with a mix that is technically solid but sounds completely original compared to standard club edits.
My approach to genre fusion is simple: if it sounds good, it works. I spend my time in the studio breaking rules, like taking Pandit Birju Maharaj’s classical vocals and setting them against hard-hitting urban beats. It is about balance. I treat every remix as a project that requires fresh instrumentation, not just a speed change.
