About Himalayan Expeditions: Spiti & Ladakh

These aren't luxury tours. Expect 10 to 12-hour ride days, zero backup trucks, and days where you'll be crossing over 20 water streams before lunch. We fix our own flats and handle mechanicals as a group, so bring your tools and a solid dose of resilience.

How We Ride the Himalayas

When we plan an expedition to Spiti or Ladakh, the focus isn't on comfort; it's on the machine and the brotherhood. We ride our Bajaj Dominars from Bengaluru through the changing landscapes of India, eventually hitting the high passes like Kunzum and Rohtang.

The Reality Check

  • Self-Supported: We don't believe in backup vehicles. You manage your own luggage, and we manage the ride together. If a bike breaks down, we open the toolkits and fix it on the spot.
  • Physical Demand: Riding 500-600 km a day at high altitudes takes a toll. You will face altitude sickness, freezing winds, and long, grueling hours in the saddle.
  • The Terrain: You need to be ready for everything. We tackle slush, gravel, massive water crossings, and sharp, unpredictable mountain bends.

What to Expect

  • Stay: We prioritize safety and secure parking over luxury. Expect government guest houses, budget homestays, or functional lodges like Padma Lodge in Jispa.
  • Food: We eat what the road offers. Roadside Dhabas, instant noodles, and hot tea are our staples. It’s simple, hot, and keeps us moving.

This is about testing your limits alongside your machine. If you are serious about off-road biking and want to join a pack that looks out for one another, you will fit right in.
