A heavy tick or flea infestation is a medical emergency that requires immediate action. For these extreme cases, I perform a full shave-down to effectively remove all parasites and allow for proper treatment of the irritated skin underneath.

Our Philosophy on Double-Coated Breeds

My motto is "Humanity before Vanity." I do not shave double-coated breeds like Huskies or Golden Retrievers, as it can damage their natural ability to regulate temperature. The only exception is a medical emergency, such as a severe tick infestation, where a shave is the only path to relief.
