About Festival Stages
Festival gigs are a different beast compared to club nights. While the sound systems are massive, the real trick is reading the energy of thousands. I keep the set tight and the hype high so the momentum never drops, even during a multi-hour marathon.
Performing at festivals like Sunburn Goa taught me one thing: the crowd is everything. When you are looking out at a sea of people, you cannot just play a playlist. You have to monitor the vibe, track the bass, and know exactly when to switch from a Bollytech drop to a high-energy commercial anthem to keep the adrenaline going.
My festival style is about precision and crowd interaction. I focus on technical mixing that works on professional rigs, including Pioneer CDJ 3000s and standard club mixers. Whether it is a sundowner slot or a prime-time festival stage, my goal is to blend sounds that make the crowd move. I bring my own performance USBs and headphones, but I rely on the venue to maintain the rider for high-quality audio output.
I treat every big stage like a conversation with the audience. I am not standing behind the console just to work the buttons. I am waving, hyping, and making sure that even the person in the back row feels connected to the set. If you are planning a large-scale event, festival, or a massive concert, I bring the same focus and energy that I took to the Sunburn stage.
