When the main speakers get cut off at 4 AM, that is when the real test begins. I have kept dance floors packed on nothing but a single DJ monitor because, for me, the party does not stop until you say it does. I do not just stand behind the console; I am reading the room, tracking the energy, and playing exactly what your crowd needs to keep the momentum going.
A wedding sangeet or reception is not just about a playlist; it is about managing the flow of the entire evening. My approach focuses on 'Bollytech'—a seamless blend of Bollywood, high-energy techno, and regional hits that ensures no one is left sitting out.
The Setup
I bring my own flagship Pioneer DJM-V10 mixer and Traktor controllers, so the sound quality remains sharp and professional. Whether you are hosting an intimate cocktail night or a massive reception, I know how to calibrate the sets to match the vibe. For larger events, I also offer fusion performances where I collaborate with live percussionists or saxophonists, creating a jugalbandi that adds a raw, soulful layer to the electronic beats.
Crowd Interaction
I am not the type of DJ to hide behind the console. You will see me engaging with the bride, the groom, and the squad. If someone shouts, 'DJ wale babu mera gaana chala do!' (Hey DJ, play my song!), I am happy to weave that request into the set. I specialize in reading the room—knowing when to drop a retro track to get the uncles on the floor and when to switch to heavy bass to hype up the friends.
Logistics
I handle events across Delhi NCR and travel for destination weddings. My packages include everything from the console setup to the MC duties needed to hype the crowd. All you need to provide is the external PA system and the lighting, and I will take care of the rest. Abhi toh party shuru hui hai!
