Keeping a crowd moving for hours isn't just about the playlist; it’s about reading the room. As the Resident Head at The Bombay Cartel, I’ve mastered the art of switching from deep house transitions to high-BPM Bollywood anthems on the fly. If you want a DJ who engages on the mic and keeps the energy peaking without letting the floor die, that’s exactly what I bring to every club gig.
The Mumbai Club Experience
When you hire me for a club night or residency, you aren't just getting a standard playlist. You’re getting the same energy I bring to my residencies in Kamala Mills every weekend. My approach is built on reading the floor and adjusting in real-time to keep the tempo moving.
My Musical Approach
- Genre Fluidity: I don't stick to one lane. I blend commercial Bollywood hits with Deep House, Retro, and Hip-Hop, ensuring the sound evolves throughout the night.
- Technical Precision: I perform on club-standard gear, specifically the Pioneer CDJ 2000NXS2 and DJM 900 mixer. I expect pro-grade sound systems at the venue because, for me, audio quality is non-negotiable.
- Crowd Engagement: I am not the guy who hides behind the console. I use the mic to hype the crowd, drop shoutouts, and keep the interaction high. If you want a silent performance, I am likely not the right fit for your venue.
Logistics & Requirements
- Venue Setup: For club performances, I require a house-provided PA system and industry-standard DJ console.
- Travel: While my heart is in Mumbai, I am open to traveling for residencies or special event series across India, from Goa to Jaipur.
- Customization: I offer DJ plus live instrument collaborations (Saxophone or Percussion) if you want to take the night to the next level with a live jam.
