High-Energy Club Nights with VDJ Harsh Mahant
I’m not just a DJ; I’m a VDJ. I combine music with live video mixing, synchronized visuals, and heavy-hitting special effects to turn every club night into a festival.
Back in my hometown Indore, the energy is always special. This night at The Piano Project was pure magic from start to finish, reminding me why I fell in love with this profession.
There's nothing like playing for your home crowd. The love I feel every time I play in Indore is unreal, and it pushes me to deliver my best set every single time.
Thane, you never disappoint! It was an honor to be a part of Yaadon Ki Baarat 2.0, and the energy from the crowd was electric all night long.
Arms open wide, embracing the incredible vibe from the Thane crowd. The visuals on the screen behind me added another layer to the immersive experience.
The scene at Diaz, Goa. A packed floor, smoke filling the air, and my custom visuals on the big screen. This is what a high-energy club night looks like.
That peak-time moment at Diaz in Goa. The energy is high, the crowd is roaring, and my hands are in the air with them. Unforgettable.
A quick recap of the madness at Diaz, Goa. Flashing lights, confetti blasts, and a dance floor that just wouldn't quit.
Straight from the airport to the console. This is the grind, landing in a new city and heading directly into the madness of a packed club night.
Bringing the heat at De'orra in Chandigarh. This shot captures the moment the pyro jets went off, lighting up the entire club and the faces in the crowd.
A side angle of the pyro show at De'orra. I love using special effects to create dramatic, high-impact moments that sync with the biggest drops in my set.
About High-Energy Club Nights
When I’m behind the console, I’m not just dropping tracks. I’m reading the room in real-time, matching custom visuals to the rhythm, and cueing CO2 or pyro exactly on the beat. Whether it’s a sudden shift to high-octane Punjabi or deep Tech House, I keep the energy peaking so the dance floor never stops moving.
Being a VDJ is about more than just the sound. I use tools like Serato Video and Resolume to mix music and visuals live. When the beat drops, the screen behind me matches the energy with custom motion graphics or synced music videos. It is a sensory experience designed to keep people watching as much as they are dancing.
My sets are open-format, so you’ll hear a mix of Bollywood, UK Punjabi, and Afro House, all mashed up on the fly. If you catch my 'Tara Sitara' sets, you will see how I flip internet memes and classic movie scenes into the visual mix to get a laugh and keep the vibe quirky. I have played stages across Indore, Goa, and Chandigarh, and the goal is always the same: to create a connection.
I handle the technical side so you don’t have to worry about the setup. I coordinate with venue SFX teams for lasers, CO2 jets, and cold pyros to ensure the visual impact hits at the exact moment the bass kicks in. My preparation includes a thorough sound and video check, making sure the audio-visual output syncs perfectly with the venue's LED wall or projector. If you want a party that feels like a festival rather than a playlist on shuffle, let’s talk.
