About High-Energy Wedding Receptions
My reception sets are all about the 'open format' style. I do not just play tracks, I layer them. I take the Bollywood songs your guests already love and mix them with tech-house basslines to keep the energy high. This approach means the dance floor stays crowded because the music feels familiar, yet fresh enough to keep people moving for hours.
Weddings in India are marathon events. That is why my style changes depending on the crowd's energy. Early in the night, I lean into commercial Top 40 or Punjabi hits to get the mood right. As the night progresses, I shift into my Bollytech mashups—this is where I see the most action. I use professional Pioneer CDJ equipment to ensure the transitions are crisp. No awkward silences. Just consistent, high-energy flow.
The local touch is just as important. Whether it is in Mumbai or at a destination wedding, if the crowd wants that authentic vibe, I bring it. You will hear me on the mic dropping that classic line, 'Are marathi wajlach pahije!' (Marathi music must be played!) whenever the mood peaks. I also coordinate with Dhol players and VJs to turn your reception into a full production. My goal is to make sure your grandparents are enjoying the classics while the younger crowd gets the bass-heavy sets they want, all without missing a beat.
