When I am behind the console, I am constantly watching the room's energy—not just the song selection, but the tempo, the crowd size, and the mood. If I see people starting to drift, I adjust the mix instantly, moving from deep house to high-tempo Bollywood or retro hits to pull the energy back up.
Great music is just one half of the equation; the other half is understanding the room. Whether you are hosting a private villa party in Calangute or a corporate event, the goal is always the same: keep the dance floor moving.
My approach is built on technical discipline. As a resident DJ at clubs like Tito's and Mambo in Goa, I have learned that playing to a crowd requires real-time adaptation. I don't use pre-recorded sets. I use industry-standard Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2 setups to mix live, allowing me to transition seamlessly between Bollywood, commercial, EDM, and retro tracks based on the crowd's reaction.
