I don't just stand behind the console hitting play. I’m constantly reading the room—watching where the energy is dropping and using track selection to bring it right back up. For my prime-time sets, that means having custom edits ready to go at a moment's notice so I can switch from a slow groove to a heavy bass drop instantly.
My Approach to the Floor
Whether I’m playing a sundowner in Dubai or a peak-hour slot at a Mumbai lounge, my priority is the energy arc. I don't follow a rigid playlist because every crowd is different. If the floor is thinning, I shift the tempo. If everyone is locked in, I push the bass.
The Tech Behind the Vibe
I rely on industry-standard setups like the Pioneer CDJ-3000s because they allow for the seamless transitions my sets depend on. My process starts with analyzing tracks in Rekordbox, but the real work happens in the booth. I’m constantly monitoring booth feedback and venue acoustics to ensure the low-end hits exactly how it should.
