Our Star Players: From Academy to Arena
Success on the field is not a stroke of luck, it is built session by session. Meet the academy students who have graduated from our training nets to representing Mumbai’s state-level teams.
This is what hard work looks like. Omkar Patankar, one of our dedicated wicket-keeper batsmen, was selected for the Mumbai U-19 Summer Off-Season Camp. He has the vision behind the stumps and the fire with the bat. We are proud to see him get recognized.
We are proud of all our players, boys and girls. Here are two of our stars, Harsh Salunkhe and Mitali Mhatre, who are both representing Mumbai in U-19 state-level cricket. Their success is a result of their consistent hard work and our process.
Results speak louder than words. Here is our player Harsh Salunkhe after being awarded Man of the Series and Best Batsman in the U-17 Power Championship tournament. He scored 250 runs and took 6 wickets in just 4 matches.
A superb innings from our player Aniket Satpute, who scored 108 not out for Chembur Karnataka High School in the Harries Shield. He helped chase a huge target of 238 runs, showing great composure and skill.
Congratulations to our super girl Mitali Mhatre for her selection into the women's under-19 Mumbai team. She is a talented and hardworking cricketer, and we wish her the best for her upcoming matches.
Here is our bowler Shoaib Ansari receiving the Man of the Match award in the MI Junior U-16 Interschool Tournament. His match winning bowling figures were 3 wickets for just 6 runs in 4.1 overs.
Another Man of the Match performance, this time from Sumit Doliya who took a 5 wicket haul in the MI Junior Interschool Tournament. It was a great team effort with other players also contributing with bat and ball.
It is always a proud moment to see our players get recognized. Here, DSCA players Vighnesh Shinde and Aniket Satpute receive Man of the Match awards at the MI Junior Interschool Cricket Tournament for their excellent batting and bowling performances.
Another look at our rising star, Mitali Mhatre. Her selection in the Mumbai U-19 state team is a proud moment for the entire academy. We believe in her potential to keep growing and performing at higher levels.
About Our Star Players: From Academy to Arena
These achievements didn't happen by chance. Whether it is Mitali’s selection for the U-19 state team or Shoaib’s match-winning spells, every victory here is built on months of sweating it out at Gandhi Maidan. We do not coach for participation trophies; we train for the kind of consistency and technical precision that catches the selectors' eyes in competitive tournaments.
Success is the result of a process. When you see our players lifting trophies in the MI Junior U-16 Interschool Tournament or scoring centuries in the Harries Shield, you are seeing the result of our intensive training model.
We focus on three pillars for every player:
- Match Simulation: Practice is useless if you cannot handle pressure. We recreate match-day environments during net sessions so that when a player faces a real bowler in a tournament like the Giles Shield, it feels familiar.
- Fitness First: Our athletes don't get tired in the second session. From agility ladders to high-intensity endurance drills, we build the physical base needed to last the full distance of a match.
- Technical Integrity: We focus on the basics—stance, grip, and follow-through. Our coaches are not there to fix one thing; they are there to build a complete player who can adapt to any condition, be it a muddy monsoon ground or a dry summer wicket.
Our doors are open to anyone who has the discipline to put in the work. We provide the platform, the trials, and the guidance. The rest depends on your mehnat (hard work). If you are looking for a place where you will be pushed to become a competitive cricketer rather than just a hobbyist, you are in the right place.
