A Legacy of Cricket Excellence
Cricket is about more than just technique. It is about character, discipline, and understanding the game at its highest level. These moments from my career reflect the same values I instill in every student at my academy.
A classic cover drive during my playing days in England. The techniques I learned to counter the moving ball are the same ones I now teach my students.
Batting for India during a match in England. The experience of playing in front of packed English crowds is something I want every serious young cricketer to aim for.
A cherished memory from 1987-88, celebrating a Test series win against New Zealand in Hyderabad. Being part of a winning team builds character.
An image highlighting my record of three consecutive Test centuries at Lord's. This achievement was built on discipline, technique, and the ability to adapt, the core values of my academy.
About A Legacy of Excellence
You do not learn how to play a cover drive just by reading a book. In my academy, I use these exact techniques—the same ones I relied on to score three centuries at Lord's—to help you build a solid foundation. Whether it is managing your balance or reading the bowler's hand, I show you how to break down the game so you can execute with confidence on the pitch.
In the modern game, players often rush their development. I focus on Test cricket discipline because it forms the backbone of a successful batsman. When you learn to leave the ball, judge line and length, and wait for the right delivery, your T20 game improves automatically. It is a simple process: sweat, drill, repeat.
At my academy, we do not believe in mass production. I am present on the ground. When I see a student, I look for their 'vijigishu vrutti' or fighting spirit. If they have the hunger, I provide the path. We maintain indoor nets for year-round practice, floodlights for night sessions, and flight control drills for spinners.
For those serious about their development, our High-Performance Coaching covers:
- Fundamental technique building.
- Fitness and agility training.
- Mental toughness drills.
Everything I do is rooted in the lessons I learned in the UK and playing for India. Whether you are preparing for international tours or local tournaments in Mumbai and Pune, the preparation is the same. There are no shortcuts, only the right choices for your career.
