Preparation is the first step toward effective treatment. Follow these guidelines to ensure your consultation at Dermatologie gives us the complete picture of your skin and hair health.

Thinking of visiting a dermatologist? Reading these tips before your appointment will help you get the most out of our consultation.

Before your visit, take a moment to note down all your skin and hair concerns. Even minor issues can be part of a larger pattern, and this list ensures we address everything important to you.

For concerns that fluctuate, like intermittent acne or rashes, bringing photos can be incredibly helpful. Visual documentation allows me to understand the issue even if it's not present on the day of your appointment.

Please arrive for your consultation with a clean, bare face. Avoiding SPF, makeup, or foundation allows for the most accurate assessment of your skin's true condition.

To prevent potential irritation and ensure an accurate skin assessment, please discontinue the use of active ingredients like retinol, AHAs, or BHAs for at least 48 hours before your appointment unless I have advised otherwise.

Your skin is deeply connected to your overall health. It is crucial to mention any medications you are taking or existing health conditions, as this information helps me create a safe and effective treatment plan.

About this collection

Your first visit is not a quick fix, it is a 20 to 30-minute deep dive into your skin's health. We will audit your current routine, perform a dermoscopic analysis, and evaluate your lifestyle triggers to identify the root cause of your specific concerns.

Preparing for your assessment

To ensure your time in the clinic is productive, arriving with a clean, bare face is essential. Avoiding makeup or sunscreen allows for a precise visual inspection and dermoscopic analysis. Additionally, please pause the use of active ingredients like retinol, AHAs, or BHAs for 48 hours before your appointment to prevent potential irritation and ensure we see your skin's natural state.

What to bring

The more context I have, the better. If you have been struggling with recurring acne or rashes, bringing clear photos of these episodes is incredibly helpful. Please also bring a list of your current medications and health conditions. Because skin health is deeply connected to your internal physiology, understanding your medical history is as important as the clinical examination. By the end of our session, you will leave with a clear, personalized roadmap—covering at-home care, necessary medical treatments, and lifestyle adjustments—designed specifically for you.
