Student Mental Math and Abacus Skills
Watch our students turn complex calculations into a fun, mental game. From using the physical abacus to solving problems entirely in their heads, here is what focused, confident math practice looks like.
Here is my student Anaisha demonstrating her mental calculation skills. After learning the abacus method, she can visualize the tool and solve problems quickly without any physical aid.
Watch my student Adikeshav as he uses the abacus to tackle a series of calculations. This tool is fundamental in my program for building a strong foundation in number sense and mental agility.
About Our Students in Action
What you see in these clips isn't just about speed, it is about visualization. While some students are still using the physical abacus beads, others have moved to the mental stage, where they create a digital picture of the abacus in their mind to solve problems instantly. This shift is the real goal of my 9-level course, helping children build a foundation that makes them confident, not just with arithmetic, but with any logical challenge they face.
How We Build Math Confidence
My approach at Delighted Champs is designed to eliminate 'math ka darr' (math fear). We don't just teach children to calculate; we teach them to engage with numbers as tools for play and logic.
The Methodology: We start with the physical abacus tool to help children map numbers to concrete movements. As they progress through our 9-level certification program, we gradually remove the tool. They learn to visualize the beads, performing multi-digit calculations purely in their minds. This 'Brain Gym' activity builds significant photographic memory and concentration.
Flexible Learning Options: Whether you are based near my center in Navi Mumbai or joining from halfway across the world, the training remains consistent.
- Live Online Batches: Small groups of 8-12 students with live interaction.
- Offline Centers: Hands-on training available in Navi Mumbai and Tokyo.
- Resource Support: I provide digital worksheets and access to a video library so students can revise finger techniques and formulas whenever they need extra practice.
Why Parents Choose This: Most parents come to me because they see their children struggling with school math. My goal is to change that narrative. When a child realizes they can solve a math problem faster than a calculator, their confidence changes instantly. We keep classes interactive, often using gamified exercises to ensure that learning feels like a success rather than a chore.
