Behind the Scenes: Making Wedding Dances Fun
Practice sessions are where the magic starts. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned dancer, I break down the moves so you feel confident long before the lights go up.
This split-screen video is the perfect example of my process. The top half shows a relaxed practice with a group of non-dancers, and the bottom shows their incredible transformation into confident performers on the main stage.
A glimpse into a practice session with the groom and his friends. Even in a casual outdoor setting, we work on the choreography, ensuring everyone is comfortable and in sync while keeping the atmosphere light and fun.
About Behind the Scenes: The Fun Starts Here
Most people I work with have never taken a dance class, which is exactly why I structure my sessions to be stress-free. We start with simple, repetitive hooks that get everyone moving immediately, building confidence before we layer in the complex footwork. This way, you stop worrying about looking perfect and start actually enjoying the music with your friends and family.
My Approach to Group Choreography
I believe the best dance performances are not about professional technique; they are about the energy you bring to the floor. When I work with a group, we spend our initial rehearsals simply finding your collective groove. My choreography packages are designed to make the process feel less like a rigid dance class and more like a fun pre-wedding hangout.
The Process:
- Custom Audio Mixing: I edit your selected tracks into a seamless mix, cutting out the boring parts so the energy stays high throughout the performance.
- Remote Support: For family members or bridesmaids joining from other cities, I provide step-by-step video tutorials. You can practice at your own pace, so you feel ready by the time we meet for the group run-through.
- Stage Mapping: We do not just practice in a studio. During our tech run-through at your venue, we specifically map out your stage spacing. I show you where to stand, how to transition between songs, and how to use the stage effectively so you can focus on performing, not on where your next step should be.
By the time the actual event arrives, you are not thinking about the steps—you are just having fun. That is when the real energy comes through in the final performance.
