In our sessions, I start by mapping out your comfort zone, whether you're a seasoned dancer or a total beginner, then build your routine to highlight what you're naturally good at rather than forcing steps that don't feel like 'you'.
How We Build Your Performance
Transitioning from the living room to the stage can be nerve-wracking, which is why I structure every package to prioritize confidence.
The Rehearsal Process For our in-person sessions, usually held at my studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, we dedicate 4-5 practices per song. These aren't just about learning counts; they are about repetition until the movement feels like muscle memory. We focus on stage presence, eye contact, and how to carry yourselves—this makes all the difference when the spotlight hits.
Managing Remote Teams If your squad is scattered across cities or countries, don't worry. I provide step-by-step video tutorials via WhatsApp or Drive that are easy to follow. We can also schedule virtual rehearsals via Zoom to synchronize your group before everyone arrives in town. It works, and I've seen it bring even the most nervous cousins together for a solid final act.
Day-of Logistics For full Sangeet packages, my team acts as your on-ground support. We handle the technical run-throughs with your DJ and lighting crew to ensure your songs transition smoothly. We even do a dry-run at the actual venue to check the stage size and lighting, so there are no surprises when you're ready to perform.
The 'Feeling' Factor Whether it's a Garba-inspired folk number or a high-octane Bollywood track, the best performances happen when you're having fun. If you're stressed about dancing in a heavy lehenga or worried about a specific lift, we practice those details specifically so you can just enjoy the Jalsa.
