Fun & Vibrant Choreography for Mehendi, Haldi & Traditional Events
Daytime events like Mehendi and Haldi are all about high energy and fun, not stiff performances. I help you put together simple, joyful routines that get everyone from your bhabhi to the youngest cousins involved.
A simple and fun tutorial-style video for "Laung Gawacha". This is a perfect song for bridesmaids to perform at a Haldi or Mehendi ceremony.
A graceful bhabhi dancing in the baraat. I also choreograph simple, elegant moves for family members to enjoy during the wedding procession.
Our love for classics keeps growing. Two friends perform a beautiful duet to "Dola Re Dola" at an outdoor Haldi function, a perfect tribute to their friendship.
A mother's performance at her daughter's Sindhara function. This traditional ceremony is made even more special with a heartfelt dance.
A beautiful Rajasthani folk dance performance with ghunghat (veils). This is perfect for a traditional event like a Mayra or Bhaat function.
A graceful and elegant solo performance to "Kajaliyo". This Rajasthani song is perfect for a Mehendi or Haldi, and this performer's expressions are just beautiful.
A full-on flash mob at a Haldi ceremony. The bride's squad is dressed in yellow and brings incredible energy to this fun, daytime event.
About Daytime Events: Mehendi, Haldi & Traditional Functions
The biggest challenge with daytime events like Haldi or Mehendi isn't just the dance, it's the attire. Whether you are wearing a heavy lehenga, a saree, or using a ghunghat, I design routines that account for these costume constraints so you can move freely without worrying about tripping or feeling restricted while you perform.
Why Daytime Events are Special
Daytime functions have a raw, intimate energy that Sangeet nights sometimes miss. It is less about big spotlights and stage production, and more about celebrating with family in the daylight. Whether it is a quick Rajasthani folk number for a Mayra or a high-energy flash mob for your Haldi, the goal is to make it look effortless, not rehearsed.
How We Make it Happen
- Folk & Fusion: I love mixing traditional styles like Rajasthani ghunghat dances or classic Garba with modern Bollywood tracks. If you want a specific regional vibe, we can source that.
- Inclusive Moves: My approach is about making sure everyone feels confident. You don't need to be a trained dancer. I break down every step, focusing on expression and chemistry rather than complicated technical footwork that takes weeks to master.
- Managing the Crowd: For group numbers, we focus on formations that look great even if you have people of different ages and energy levels in the squad. We keep the choreography simple enough that even your uncles and aunts can join in for the chorus.
Practical Logistics
Since these events are often outdoors or in home venues, we keep the movement patterns safe for the space you have. If you are planning a surprise for the bride or groom, or want a special dance with the 'girl squad', I provide both in-person coaching in Bengaluru and virtual tutorials for outstation family members, so everyone is on the same page before the event day.
Dancewithus
Hey, I'm Uttara. I started Dancewithus because I believe the best wedding memories happen on the dance floor. I love working with families—from helping a bride pull off a surprise solo to getting the whole squad to do a fun thumka for the Haldi. Dance is just the language we use to tell your family's story.
