About Bags, Totes, and Pouches
Since I hand-crochet everything, I don't typically use metal zippers—most of my slings and potlis feature secure drawstring or sturdy wooden button closures to keep your things safe. If you're looking for a specific size for your Kindle or daily essentials, just tell me, and I will reinforce the base and straps to ensure the bag handles the weight properly.
I started Creative Chaos as a way to turn simple balls of yarn into something functional and fun, and these bags have become my favourite projects. Whether you are eyeing a vibrant granny square tote for your college books or a small, detailed potli to match your ethnic wear, every stitch is done by me in my Mumbai studio.
How I Build Your Bag
- Durability: I focus on tight, dense stitching patterns. For my larger totes, I use chunky yarn that gives the bag natural structure without needing heavy linings that can make the bag feel bulky.
- Customisation: You’ll see examples like my Harry Potter-themed pouches or the sunflower slings in the gallery—I love these. If you have a specific pattern, character, or colour palette in mind, DM me. We can chat about the shape, handle length, and closure style.
- Care Instructions: Because these are handmade with premium acrylic or cotton-blend yarns, I recommend hand-washing them in cold water. Lay them flat to dry to keep the shape perfect, and please, keep them away from your washing machine!
