Learn Handcrafted Jewellery Making in Kothrud
Let’s make something beautiful! Whether you’re curious about silk thread jhumkas or want to master beaded bracelet designs, I’ll help you create your own custom accessories in a fun, relaxed space.
This is the first part of making a lovely purple beaded bracelet. I show you how to handle the memory wire and start stringing the beads to create a sturdy and stylish piece.
Here is the second part of the bracelet making process, where we finish the ends to make it secure and easy to wear. It’s these little details that give your handcrafted jewellery a professional look.
I also teach how to make these traditional silk thread jhumkas. The first step is carefully wrapping the jhumka base with colourful thread, which is a very calming process.
In the second part of the jhumka making tutorial, we add the decorative stones and assemble the earring. You can customise the colours and designs to match your favourite outfits.
Crafting isn't just for workshops. Here I am painting some MDF rakhi designs with acrylics. This shows how a few layers of paint can create a beautiful, opaque finish on a custom piece.
This just makes my heart full. My five year old daughter made these colourful rakhis all by herself. It’s a perfect example that art is for everyone, and it’s all about having fun with colours and beads.
About Handcrafted Jewellery Making
You don't need a background in arts to start making your own jewellery. I keep the process very hands-on and beginner-friendly, providing everything from memory wire for bracelets to vibrant silk thread for jhumkas. We'll go step-by-step—even with the tricky stuff like finishing the wire or wrapping the jhumka base—so you leave with a piece you’re proud to wear.
Finding Your Creative Rhythm
Crafting is my way of tuning out the noise, and I started these workshops to help others find that same chill zone. When we make jewellery together, it isn't about hitting perfection—it's about the joy of creating something with your own hands.
What We'll Cover:
- Silk Thread Jhumkas: We learn the art of wrapping thread around the base, which is surprisingly meditative. You'll also learn how to assemble the pieces with stones and embellishments to match your favorite outfits.
- Beaded Bracelets: We work with memory wire and various bead types. I show you how to handle the wire, string the beads securely, and finish the ends so they look professional and are easy to wear.
