My Philosophy on Movement and Dance
For me, dance is a reflection of life—a little bit of rhythm, a lot of soul, and the freedom to be yourself. My journey, from the streets of Jodhpur to the buzz of Bengaluru, has taught me that the best dance steps are the ones that come from the heart.
Take me back to the misty mornings at Nandi Hills. Nature is my biggest inspiration, and moments like these remind me to breathe, be present, and find beauty in the world around me.
Feeling the festive Diwali vibes on this sunny rooftop. Dance is a celebration, and here I am just enjoying a simple, happy twirl, letting my spirit feel light and free.
There is a special kind of grace in wearing a traditional silk saree. It connects me to my roots and makes me feel elegant, a feeling I often bring into my classical and semi-classical dance choreographies.
A simple, happy moment dressed in a traditional saree. My personal style is a mix of comfort and elegance, which also reflects in my teaching style.
The elegance of a saree is timeless. I believe that how you carry yourself is a dance in itself, full of grace and quiet confidence.
A mirror selfie capturing the beautiful details of a silk saree. I love how traditional attire makes me feel connected to my culture, which is a big part of my dance inspiration.
Seeing the bright side of life, always. Spending quality time with my loved ones is what recharges my soul and gives me the energy to share with my students.
The beautiful Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru at night. Exploring new places, whether in Jodhpur or Bengaluru, fills my heart with new ideas and creative energy for my dance.
Welcoming the beauty of the night in my city, Bengaluru. Every experience, big or small, is a part of my journey and finds its way into the stories I tell through dance.
Finding love and light in every corner. This is my philosophy in life and in dance. A simple evening out can be a source of so much inspiration.
About My Journey in Life & Dance
I believe that you do not need to be a pro or worry about having two left feet to enjoy moving to music. My classes are a judgment-free space designed for everyone, from absolute beginners to those prepping for a special performance. We focus on keeping it simple, stress-free, and most importantly, fun, so you can dance with confidence at your own pace.
My dance style is deeply connected to my life, my travels, and my love for our roots. Whether it is the grace of a silk saree that influences my semi-classical movements or the high-energy beats of Bollywood that keep me inspired in Bengaluru, every moment I collect finds its way into my choreography.
When I work with you, I look beyond the steps. If you are preparing for a wedding, I help you break down the music so you can actually enjoy the performance instead of just memorizing counts. My goal is to make sure you feel connected to the song, not just the routine.
Why Learn With Me?
- No Perfection Needed: We embrace the 'thoda gum thodi khushi' (a little sadness, a little happiness) that makes life real. My sessions are about finding your vibe.
- Customized for You: Whether we are in a studio or your living room in Jodhpur or Bengaluru, I adapt my teaching to how you learn best.
- Technique with Soul: I teach postures and expressions that feel natural. We focus on comfort, especially if you are dancing in traditional attire like a lehenga or saree.
Dance is how I stay grounded, and I would love to help you find your own 'safe space' on the dance floor. If you want to let go of the hesitation and just feel the music, let us start there.
