Cultural and Religious Parade Floats for Festivals
Bringing heritage to the streets with custom-made parade floats and sculptures. My team creates vibrant, high-detail structures for festivals across Karnataka.
This float, featuring a sage before a temple, is one of my proudest creations. I designed it for a major festival parade, focusing on the intricate details of the temple structure and the peaceful expression of the sage to create a powerful, moving spectacle.
This float was a special project I did for the Kolar Zilla Panchayat. The design is centered around a large, bold Shiva Lingam, complete with a Trishula and the Om symbol, to create a strong statement of faith and culture.
For the Mandya Zilla Panchayat, I designed this float with a serene goddess figure surrounded by lush greenery and birds. The goal was to create a beautiful and calm scene that celebrates nature and divinity.
There is nothing like seeing one of my completed floats moving through the streets at night. This photo captures the atmosphere of a festival parade, with the lights and the crowd making the art feel truly alive.
About Cultural & Religious Spectacles
When I build these floats, I use high-density EPS blocks for the base. It keeps the whole structure lightweight enough to move safely while being strong enough to handle outdoor festival crowds. We weld the frame directly onto your vehicle, so you get a perfect fit every single time.
Building a parade float is a huge responsibility. It is not just about carving styrofoam; it is about respecting the culture and the story behind it. My process starts with a custom sketch, where we map out everything from the main deity or temple replica to the smaller supporting figures.
For the structure, we use High-Density EPS (thermocol) blocks. It is my favorite material because it is lightweight but allows for incredible detail, like muscle definitions on a sage or intricate temple carvings. We then add a mild steel skeleton underneath to make sure the float stays sturdy, whether it is sitting in a parade or moving through streets.
We pay a lot of attention to the finish. Weather-resistant acrylics mean that even if it rains or the sun is beating down during a Dasara procession, the colors pop. Since I handle projects across Karnataka, I know how to design for different festival vibes, from solemn religious events to high-energy cultural parades. Just a heads up, you will need to provide the truck or lorry for the base, and we take care of the fabrication and welding on-site.
