Fun-Focused Junior Golf Camps
Getting kids off screens and onto the greens. My camps mix essential golf skills with yoga and adventure to keep them moving, focused, and actually having a blast.
There's nothing better than seeing a young golfer fall in love with the game. A high-five after a great shot at the driving range captures the fun and encouraging atmosphere I create for my junior students.
I'm excited to offer both residential and non-residential summer golf camps. These programs are designed to teach golf skills, improve fitness, and most importantly, ensure the kids have a fantastic time.
About this collection
I don't believe in boring drills where kids stand around waiting for their turn. My camps are designed to keep everyone engaged through a mix of short, skill-based golf sessions, yoga for flexibility, and outdoor adventure to burn off that extra energy. Whether it's our residential camp at Coorg Golf Links or a day camp at KGA in Bangalore, the goal is simple: helping your child build a love for the game that lasts long after the camp ends.
A Different Approach to Junior Golf
Most junior programs treat golf like a classroom. I treat it like a playground. We work on the basics—grip, stance, and that crucial first swing—but we weave it into fitness routines and outdoor fun. My camps are capped to ensure every child gets the attention they need.
Where We Train
- Coorg Residential Camps: These 5-day programs are an immersive escape at Coorg Golf Links. We balance daily golf practice with trekking, rope activities, and yoga to build a stronger body and a calmer mind. It is a total reset for the kids.
- KGA Day Camps: Perfect for parents in Bangalore, these sessions at the Karnataka Golf Association mix golf skills with movement-based fitness. We move fast, keep things light, and prioritize fun over perfection.
What They Will Learn
My focus isn't just on the perfect swing, though we definitely work on that. I want kids to develop:
- Fundamental Movement: Using golf-specific fitness to improve balance and coordination.
- Game Readiness: Putting, chipping, and the rules of the game taught through play rather than lectures.
- Soft Skills: How to handle a bad shot with grace and how to respect the course.
If you are unsure if your child is ready for the course, these camps are the perfect introduction. They will come home tired, happy, and asking when they can go back to the driving range.
Nikki Ponappa
Hi, I’m Nikki. I coach golf not just as a sport, but as a way for kids to find focus and build real strength. Seeing a junior golfer get their first clean hit? That is pure magic, and I love creating that environment for them.
