About Bridal & Wedding Portraits
You don’t have to be a professional model to look like one. My rule is that if you feel uncomfortable, it shows. I prioritize natural interaction over rigid posing, whether that means fixing your dupatta for a candid shot or waiting for that genuine laugh before I click. You focus on the moment, and I will handle the framing.
My Approach to Bridal Portraits
A photograph is the pause button of life. That is not just a saying for me; it is how I shoot. When I am capturing bridal portraits in Shimla or Solan, I am looking for the small things: the way your jewelry catches the light, the texture of your lehenga, and that specific look when you are ready to walk down the aisle.
Why Lighting Matters
I balance two distinct styles to get the best result. Sometimes we use soft, natural light to keep things dreamy and airy. Other times, for those dramatic, high-end bridal shots, I bring in artificial lighting to add depth and mood. This works perfectly whether we are shooting in a hotel room in Solan or outside with the mountains as our backdrop.
Tips for Your Shoot
- Comfort is Key: Wear what makes you feel like yourself. If you are comfortable, your expressions will be real.
- The Details: Keep your makeup and jewelry organized. I love capturing close-ups of the henna (mehendi) and the details of your outfit.
- Timing: If we are shooting outdoors, we will aim for golden hour. The light in the mountains during that time is different, and it makes for the best skin tones.
