Featured Photography Work in Himachal
These photos are a mix of my favourite frames from across Himachal. From the silence of our deodar forests to the energy of a Haldi ceremony, I aim to freeze the feeling, not just the pose.
A quiet moment for a couple during their pre-wedding shoot, with a traditional Himachali house reflecting in the water. This is the kind of magic we can create in the mountains, finding serene spots that make your story unique.
I love using shadows and light to create drama. This bridal portrait focuses on the bride's calm expression and the intricate details of her nath and jewellery, creating a timeless, cinematic feel before the main ceremony.
Using a wide-angle lens to capture the scale of the deodar forest in Himachal. This pre-wedding photo makes the couple the heart of a majestic landscape, showing how I use nature to tell a grander love story.
The pure joy and energy of a Haldi ceremony, captured with sparklers in the background. My goal here is to freeze these candid, unscripted moments of celebration that you'll cherish forever.
A simple, natural light portrait session for an individual portfolio. The focus is on a relaxed, confident expression, using the soft afternoon sun and natural foliage to create a warm, approachable look.
A full-length bridal portrait that showcases the grandeur of the lehenga and the elegance of the bride. Shot outdoors in a beautiful garden, this photo highlights the complete bridal look in a natural, regal setting.
A couple's portrait celebrating traditional Kinnauri attire against a backdrop of vibrant Buddhist prayer flags. This kind of cultural photoshoot is special to me and highlights the rich heritage of Himachal.
About Featured
Shooting in the hills is not just about the view, it is about the climb. I carry my portable tent and lighting gear to remote spots in Solan and Shimla to ensure we get that cinematic lighting, regardless of where we end up. This gallery shows that range, from the controlled atmosphere of a bridal shoot to the unpredictable magic of an outdoor session.
Photography in the mountains requires patience and the right gear. Whether we are chasing the golden hour in a deodar forest or setting up artificial lights for a dramatic portrait in a heritage house, I focus on capturing real emotions rather than staged perfection.
My Approach
- Natural Light & Bokeh: I prefer using prime lenses to create that soft, blurred background effect, making the subject pop against the dramatic Himachal landscape.
- Cinematic Posing: I provide direction for body language, but I always leave room for candid laughter and real moments. Your comfort is the main cheez; if you are relaxed, the photos will look natural.
- Location Flexibility: While I love shooting in the wild, I am equally comfortable with indoor setups or heritage sites across Shimla and Solan. If you have a specific spot in mind, let me know, and we will make it work.
What to Expect
- Planning: We discuss the vibe before the shoot. Do you want airy, sunlit headshots or moody, dramatic portraits? We plan the wardrobe and backdrop to match.
- Delivery: You get edited, high-resolution JPEGs delivered via Google Drive within 4 to 6 days. I focus on color grading and skin retouching to keep the images looking professional yet authentic.
- The Gear: For outdoor sessions, I bring portable setups, including changing tents for outfit swaps, so you can focus on the shoot without worrying about the logistics.
