Most terrarium issues are simple fixes. Here is the no-nonsense guide to keeping your miniature ecosystem healthy, straight from our studio in Gurugram.

I believe in helping you succeed long after the workshop ends. In this video, I walk through a common client problem, a moldy terrarium, and explain the crucial role of bright, indirect light. My goal is to give you the practical plant care tips you need for your ecosystem to thrive.

Look me in the eye and tell me you didn't overwater your plants. It's the most common mistake I see. I often hear "thoda sa pani dala tha," but too much love can be harmful. I teach you how to get the balance just right.

Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about closed terrariums. In this video, I clarify myths about watering, light requirements, and whether you need to open the lid, giving you the facts for successful terrarium care.

Plant #1 that will test your patience in Delhi NCR is the Calathea. Known as the drama queen of houseplants, its beautiful leaves are very sensitive to our region's dry air and temperature swings, but it can thrive inside the controlled humidity of a terrarium.

Plant #2 that struggles in Delhi's climate is the Anthurium. Those stunning red flowers require high humidity that is difficult to maintain here. However, inside a closed terrarium, they can find the consistent moisture they need to flourish.

Plant #4, the Alocasia, demands a tricky "moist but not soggy" soil balance. Our erratic weather makes this a challenge, but the self-regulating water cycle inside a terrarium provides the perfect environment for these dramatic plants.

Plant #5 on the finicky list is the Peperomia. While surprisingly tricky as a regular houseplant in Delhi due to hard water and temperature swings, they are a fantastic choice for terrariums where their environment is stable and protected.

Surprisingly, even Succulents can be challenging in Delhi NCR. While they are drought-tolerant, they often suffer from root rot during our humid monsoon season. This makes them better suited for open terrariums rather than closed, humid ones.

About Your Terrarium Care Guide

The biggest secret to a long-lasting terrarium isn't a complex care routine, it is learning when to leave it alone. We see it every day: "thoda sa pani dala tha" (I just added a little water), and suddenly you have a mold problem. Most terrariums are self-sustaining ecosystems. If you see condensation on the glass, your plants are already recycling moisture. Adding more water is almost always the mistake that causes trouble.
