Biking is our passion, but we never compromise on safety. From strict convoy formations to rainy weather prep, here is how we ensure every BMR rider makes it home.

Safety is our top priority. We always emphasize the importance of wearing a complete set of protective gear, including a certified helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, and boots, to ensure protection in case of a fall.

A crucial safety tip we always follow is to be aware of the blind spots of larger vehicles. We train our riders to avoid lingering in these dangerous areas and to be cautious when passing.

We believe in riding within your limits. Our ride marshals ensure that everyone rides at a comfortable and safe pace, without pushing beyond their skill level, especially in corners or traffic.

Staying visible is key to motorcycle safety. We encourage wearing brightly colored or reflective clothing and using headlights effectively to ensure other motorists can see us clearly on the road.

Regular maintenance is not optional. We remind our members to follow their bike's service schedule and regularly check tires, brakes, lights, and fluids to keep their machines in top condition.

Rainy season requires extra care. We share essential maintenance tips for riding in the wet, focusing on crucial components like tires, brakes, chain lubrication, air filters, and lights to ensure safety on slippery roads.

About Our Commitment to Safety

We don't just ride; we ride in a strict convoy formation. Whether it is a quick breakfast run or a high-altitude Ladakh expedition, our dedicated Lead, Sweep, and Marshals handle traffic management and navigation, meaning you can focus entirely on the road ahead.

Why We Ride by the Rules

For BMR, the journey only counts if everyone arrives safely. Riding as a group of 500+ members brings joy, but it also demands discipline. We treat every ride, from local Bangalore breakfast runs to Himalayan expeditions, as a shared responsibility.

Essential Gear and Pre-Ride Checks

We view protective gear as non-negotiable. Before any rider joins our convoy, we verify they have a full-face helmet, riding jacket, gloves, and sturdy boots. We don't accept excuses here. Additionally, we enforce regular bike maintenance. If your chain is loose, tires are worn, or lights aren't functional, we help you sort it out before the ride starts. A bike in poor condition puts the entire group at risk, and we look out for each other.

Handling the Elements and the Road

  • Rainy Season Protocol: Riding in the rain requires a different mindset. We advise on slowing down, increasing following distances, and maintaining smooth, gentle inputs on brakes and throttle. Our guides provide specific tips on tire pressure and chain lubrication for wet conditions.
  • Convoy Discipline: We never stunt or race. Our Lead, Sweep, and Marshals maintain a steady pace that accommodates the group's skill levels. This structure keeps the group together and reduces the chance of accidents.
  • Awareness: We train our members to constantly scan for blind spots, especially when near trucks or larger vehicles on highways. Staying visible with bright gear and using headlights effectively is just part of our routine.

Ultimately, BMR uyir (BMR is life) means we protect that life on the road.
