A common mistake is piling on foundation and powder. I believe less is more. My technique focuses on using minimal product to achieve a flawless, non-cakey finish.
About My Process & Bridal Tips
Before we ever touch a makeup brush, I always prioritize a trial session. This is not just a test run; it is a vital vibe check. We sit down to discuss your wedding outfit, assess your skin type, and align on what makes you feel like yourself. Whether you are envisioning a soft, natural base or a more defined look, this session allows us to lock in a plan, so on your big day, the only thing you have to focus on is celebrating.
Why a Trial is Non-Negotiable
I always tell my brides that the wedding day is not the time to experiment with a new look. A trial session, ideally scheduled three months in advance, lets us test products and techniques. It helps us avoid last-minute panic. If you do not feel comfortable with a specific style during the trial, we have the time to change it. This is your chance to experiment with different options, like a soft smokey eye versus a classic neutral palette, so we can land on the style that feels right for you.
Skincare: Keeping it Simple
A common mistake I see is brides changing their entire skincare regimen right before the wedding. My advice: stop trying new peels or treatments four weeks before your ceremony. If you want to start facials or active treatments, do it three to four months in advance. Your skin needs time to adjust, and the last thing you want is an unexpected breakout or reaction right before the wedding rituals.
The 'Less is More' Philosophy
Many brides believe they need heavy foundation to look good in photos. In reality, piling on product often leads to a cakey finish that magnifies fine lines. My technique focuses on using minimal product for maximum impact. Whether we choose an HD finish for a dewy look or a matte finish for long-wear during a Muhurtham, the goal is always to enhance your features, not mask them. We use high-quality brands like Huda Beauty and MAC to ensure your makeup lasts through the day without feeling heavy.
