Inclusive Makeup Artistry for Every Skin Tone & Type
Makeup is for everyone, and it should celebrate your unique complexion, not hide it. Whether it is vitiligo, deep pigmentation, or dark skin tones, I focus on precise shade matching and correct technique to give you a flawless, natural finish every time.
I believe makeup is for everyone. It is my specialty and my passion to work with all skin types, including vitiligo skin. My process is about understanding the skin, expert color selection, and precise application to create a seamless, even-toned base that looks natural and feels comfortable.
I am known for my expertise in dark skin bridal makeup. This look shows how I work with deeper skin tones to create a radiant, glowing finish without making the skin look ashy or grey. It’s all about using the right products and techniques to celebrate and enhance your beautiful complexion.
Creating the perfect lip color for dusky and dark skin tones is an art. Here, I demonstrate how I layer shades to create a beautiful, voluminous lip that complements the model's skin tone perfectly.
Flawless makeup starts with flawless skin. I guide all my brides on skin preparation far before the wedding day. This includes tackling issues like tanning, dullness, and open pores to create the perfect canvas for your bridal makeup.
For vitiligo skin, the key is to first cover the lighter areas with a darker shade to create an even canvas. This prevents the makeup from looking patchy or white. After this step, I can build the foundation to match the client's exact skin tone.
When working with vitiligo, applying a light foundation directly over darker skin will result in a grey, ashy look. The correct technique is to first match the lighter patches to the darker skin, creating an even base before applying the final foundation shade.
The goal is always to match the client's desired skin tone perfectly. Here, I am custom mixing foundation shades to create the exact color needed for a seamless and natural finish on vitiligo skin.
Working with vitiligo skin is similar to correcting very dark circles. You must first neutralize the different tones before applying foundation. I use a darker cream product to even out the skin, ensuring full coverage without heavy layering.
Sometimes a client changes their mind mid-makeup. My technical skill allows me to adapt, even on vitiligo skin. Here I demonstrate how to adjust the skin tone from dark to light using liquid color correctors without starting over.
If color correction alone isn't enough to cover pigmentation on vitiligo skin, I increase the coverage with a high-pigment cream foundation. I always apply a darker shade first to neutralize, then build up to the desired skin tone.
About Inclusive Artistry: For Every Skin Tone & Type
The biggest mistake I see with vitiligo or uneven pigmentation is trying to cover it with a light shade, which always ends up looking grey or ashy. My technique is different: I first neutralize the lighter patches with a darker, color-corrected base. Only once we have an even canvas do I build the final shade to match your natural skin tone perfectly. It is science, not magic, and it is how we ensure your makeup feels like a second skin.
My Philosophy: Makeup Should Feel Like You
There is no 'one size fits all' in makeup. If you have vitiligo, deep acne scars, or a dusky complexion, you do not need 'heavy' makeup—you need the right technique. I treat makeup as a science. It is about understanding color theory, neutralizing tones, and choosing the right texture for your skin's unique needs.
The 'Dark-First' Rule for Vitiligo & Pigmentation
Most artists rush to apply the foundation shade directly onto vitiligo or pigmentation. This is why you often see that 'ashy' or 'ghostly' finish in photos.
My process is methodical:
- Neutralizing: I start with a darker color corrector to even out the light patches. If I apply light over light, it stays light. If I apply dark, I can then bridge the gap to your true skin tone.
- Layering: Once the canvas is balanced, I apply the foundation. By building in layers, the base remains breathable and doesn't crack or move.
- Precision: Whether it is a soft glam look or a traditional bridal style, the foundation is customized to match your jawline, neck, and chest, not just your face.
Texture Management for Scars & Pits
For skin with deep acne scars or uneven texture, a standard primer is not enough. I often use a pore-filling or putty primer to create a smooth surface. This creates a barrier, allowing the foundation to glide over texture rather than settling into it. It is about smoothing the canvas, not just painting over it.
Real Talk: Why Professional Consults Matter
I don't just show up on your wedding day. We do a consultation to analyze your skin type—oily, dry, or textured—and your specific needs. If you have been told that your skin tone is 'too hard' to match or that your condition cannot be covered without looking cakey, talk to me. We will fix it with technique, not just layers of concealer.
