About Signature Corset Ensembles
When I design these corsets, my priority is the fit. I use a six to eight-panel construction with synthetic boning to ensure the waist-cinching structure stays comfortable throughout your event. Whether you are pairing it with a drape saree or a flared lehenga, we focus on the inner lining and padding so you feel supported without needing extra layers.
My approach to these ensembles is to bridge the gap between Indian handwork and modern silhouettes. A corset is not just a trend for me, it is a structural challenge that I love to perfect.
Every piece starts at my studio in Karol Bagh, where we draft the pattern to your exact measurements. The six to eight-panel construction is essential to achieve that signature waist-cinching effect, while keeping the garment breathable. For the surface work, I often use monochromatic sequins, glass beads, or 3D floral appliqués. The goal is for the blouse to be the centerpiece of your look.
Here is how I typically style these for my clients:
- Drape Sarees: I pair a heavily embellished corset with a pre-pleated, body-contouring saree. This is a favorite for cocktails where you want to look put together without the fuss of pinning pleats.
- Lehengas: We balance a heavy corset with a raw silk or net skirt. If you want a bit more drama, I can add a sheer cape with delicate border work to complete the ensemble.
- Trousers: For a modern, powerful look, I often match a bustier-style corset with tailored trousers. It creates a sleek, contemporary shape perfect for a sangeet or evening soirée.
Since everything is made to your specific measurements, I include at least two rounds of fittings to ensure the structure sits perfectly against your body. Production time usually spans 20 to 35 days depending on the complexity of the handwork. If you have a specific vision, like a fish-cut silhouette or a different neckline, I am happy to discuss how we can adapt the design to match your style.
