About this collection
When we collaborate with makeup artists, our priority is the sync between our lighting and the texture they’ve created. We don't just shoot the face, we calibrate our lights specifically to pick up the blending work and the skin finish. If you are an artist looking to build your portfolio, we focus on capturing the exact pigments and textures you spent hours perfecting, ensuring the images represent your skill accurately.
Great beauty photography is rarely a solo act. It is a technical negotiation between the makeup artist’s brush and the photographer’s lens. In this collection, you see the results of our collaborations with artists like Anu Kaushik and Sneha Sharma, where we moved beyond simple portraiture to tell a visual story.
The Technical Synergy
We approach every collaboration with a focus on 'Skin First.' Whether we are working with a matte finish or a glossy, dewy look, our lighting setup is adjusted to maintain the integrity of the makeup. We use macro lenses (90mm/105mm) to document the finer details—the sharp line of an eyeliner or the seamless transition of eyeshadow blending—that often get lost in standard wide-angle shots.
Building Your Portfolio
We understand that for MUAs, hair stylists, and models, a portfolio isn't just a collection of pretty pictures. It is a business asset. That is why our collaborative process includes:
- Pre-shoot mood boarding: We align on the color palette and lighting style before you even walk onto the set.
- Tethered Shooting: We use a calibrated screen on set so you can see exactly how the light hits your work in real-time and make adjustments.
- Color Accuracy: In post-production, we ensure foundation shades and eyeshadow pigments remain true to the original product, avoiding the 'blurring' that often ruins the work of talented makeup artists.
From editorial fashion shots to clean, minimalist portraits, our goal is to produce assets that elevate your personal brand. If you have a concept you want to bring to life, we are ready to collaborate.
