Handcrafted Soaps & Natural Exfoliating Scrubs
Ditch the harsh detergents for something your skin will actually love. My small-batch soaps and botanical scrubs are made with real clays, plant butters, and pure essential oils right here in my Bangalore studio.
Here’s the story of 10,000 mini soaps. A bulk order went sideways, but now we have these perfectly good, gorgeous vanilla-scented minis available for a steal. They make such nice, thoughtful gifts.
How fun are these Ice Cream Soaps? They are made with French Pink Clay and Shea Butter, but I can customize them with different natural clays and scents for a playful bath time treat.
Does making my own activated charcoal and ylang ylang soap count as being sustainable? I think so. This soap is great for balancing oil production and rejuvenating your skin with every wash.
Once you try a real handmade soap, you just can't go back. This is our refreshing Cucumber Aloe and Lemongrass cold process soap, which is finally back in stock.
Meet Spice of Life, our wild turmeric and hemp walnut scrub. It has a creamy, non-drying lather that gently buffs away dead cells, brightens your skin, and helps restore a natural glow.
Our Spice of Life walnut scrub is a luxurious exfoliating experience for both face and body. Finely milled walnut powder buffs away dullness while wild turmeric extract leaves you looking radiant.
This is our Canna Bean scrub, made with coffee, walnut, and hemp. It’s a luxurious blend that exfoliates, cleanses, and hydrates your skin with ingredients like cold-pressed coffee oil and granulated organic coffee.
About this collection
Regular mass-produced soaps often strip your skin of its natural moisture, leaving you feeling tight and dry after a shower. My cold-process bars are different because they retain the natural glycerin produced during saponification, which I combine with mineral-rich clays and plant butters. It is a subtle shift in your morning ritual, but your skin will notice the difference in hydration within just a few washes.
Why Handmade Matters
When I make soap, I am not just creating a cleanser. I am using the traditional cold-process method, which takes 4 to 6 weeks to cure. This slow process ensures that the soap is gentle and effective. Unlike store-bought alternatives that use synthetic surfactants and artificial fragrances, my bars rely on therapeutic-grade essential oils like lemongrass, ylang-ylang, and peppermint.
My Ingredient Philosophy
I focus on functional, earth-derived ingredients that solve specific skin concerns:
- For Acne & Pigmentation: I use ingredients like Kasturi Manjal (wild turmeric) and kojic acid. These help brighten the complexion and fade post-acne marks without harsh chemicals.
- For Exfoliation: My scrubs, like the Canna Bean and Spice of Life, use finely milled walnut shells and organic coffee grounds. These provide physical exfoliation to buff away dead skin cells, revealing a smoother texture.
- For Gentle Care: I formulate special bars for kids and those with sensitive skin using hydrolyzed oats and shea butter, keeping the pH balanced at 5.5.
Eco-Friendly Rituals
I believe skincare should not cost the earth. That is why all my soaps come in plastic-free packaging. Even when a bulk order goes wrong—like the time a color batch morphed into something unexpected—I find ways to make them available as mini soaps, ensuring zero waste. Whether you are looking for a detoxifying charcoal bar to balance oily skin or a creamy coffee scrub to wake up your senses, I have crafted these to fit into a mindful, slow-living routine.
Bath & Being
I am Pooja, the person behind every bar of soap and jar of scrub. I started this in my kitchen to escape the 9-to-5 grind, and now I channel that creative chaos into products that actually work. If you have questions about which clay suits your skin type, just send me a message.
