In the Spotlight: My Journey from Dehradun to the Stage
Getting featured in publications like Harper's Bazaar and partnering with brands like Budweiser has been a trip. Here is a look at the stories and moments that have shaped my career so far.
I had a great time sitting down with Budweiser to talk about my journey. In this video, I share my story of moving from Dehradun to Delhi, my philosophy on DJing, and my goal of leaving a legacy with my music.
Here's the full shot from my feature in Harper's Bazaar India. I was part of a piece on diversity and freedom, and it was an honor to be included alongside other amazing individuals.
About In the Spotlight
Look, the flashing lights and club sets are one thing, but sitting down to talk about my journey—where I started and why I do this—is actually where it gets real. These features aren't just press clips; they are the stories behind the sound, from my early days in Dehradun to the sets that define my techno vibe today.
Being a DJ isn't just about showing up, playing a set, and heading home. It's about pulling people toward the energy, which is exactly what I talked about during my feature with Budweiser. We discussed the idea of legacy—how even when I'm not physically behind the decks, the music and the connection I build with the crowd should stay with them. That's the vibe I try to bring to every gig, whether it's an intimate sundowner in Goa or a massive festival stage.
My feature in Harper's Bazaar India was another surreal moment. Sharing space with other artists to talk about diversity and freedom really grounded me. It reminded me that this scene is about more than just basslines and loops. It's about being your authentic self, which is exactly what I encourage in my studio.
When you come to my DJ courses in Dehradun or my pop-up sessions in Delhi, you're not getting a cookie-cutter curriculum. You're getting the same approach I used to move from a house-music fan to a performer on national lineups. We focus on reading a room, manual beatmatching, and understanding how to structure a set that actually hits hard. Whether you are learning to mix techno on Pioneer gear or trying to figure out how to arrange your first track in Ableton, my goal is to teach you what actually works in the club, not just the theory.
